Jules Sgro (b. 1996) is a Canadian artist based in the Netherlands. He completed a bachelors in Design at Concordia University in Montreal in 2021 and is currently studying at Design Academy Eindhoven. His practice focuses on material exploration, most recently of aluminium, tin and wood, manifesting in intuitively constructed furniture and objects. His process centers around playfully materializing drawings and sketches, either by building the drawn forms or by translating them onto a three-dimensional surface. The results are pieces which collect visual narratives, stories and myths, externalizing an inner landscape.
